The Journey
Our History
THE IDEA
Returning home after 25 years in creative and product development, our idea an “Irish Gin with a Dublin Accent” grew and the trademark was created as a first step.
2015
THE FIRST BATCH
After much refinement and lots of tasting we settled on a recipe of seven botanicals, including an old family favourite Rhubarb. Keeping it Irish we discovered a spirit base distilled from Irish Milk “Whey”.
2016
WHISKEY THOUGHTS
2016 also saw the seeds of a Whiskey idea forming, while we won at our first spirit competition including the accolade Best White Spirit in Ireland.

BRANDING
We took 2017 to evolve the look and feel that you see today. 2018 we started to reach out for sales to local drinking establishments, bottle shops, duty free, and distributors. And celebrated winning Best European Craft Gin 2018.

HOMETOWN MARKET
Introduction to our hometown was important step and now with 11 Gold medals we felt encouranged to look abroad for new market opportunities.
2019
Accolades
A year of home work and Covid woes but we focused ourselves on brand development and reached out to folks internationally. A quite year but we acheived some great accolades, our 14th Gold medal, and amazing Global Master Class award.
2020

A fabulous award winning Worlds Best Irish Dry Gin, this gave us the wonderful encouragement to keep it going and look internationally for trader partners under our new banner name Dublin City Spirits.
2020
whiskey release
Still straining from the Covid effects we decided to bring forward Dublin City Whiskey, our first small batch release in the form of a 100% Single Malt inspired by Dublin’s Victorian distilling era.
2021
international
This year has seen growth begin again for us internationally, with several great trade partners around the world helping us wave the Irish flag. We also achieved a 16th Gold medal for Dublin City Gin - London Dry.

While our main drive is growing an international network and producing some fine tipples, the dream continues for a heritage centre and build our Dublin City Distillery.
